Basic

Frame-accurate playback and review notes.

  • Frame-accurate playback (image sequences, ProRes/H.264 on the accelerated build)

  • Review notes with verdicts (approve / request changes / reject)

Pro

Everything in Basic, plus the finishing toolset.

  • A/B compare — wipe, side-by-side, difference, onion skin; whole-sequence compare
  • Scopes: histogram, waveform, vectorscope
  • OpenEXR playback (scanline half/float)
  • GPU display path with VRAM pre-caching

Studio

Everything in Pro, plus collaboration.

  • Sync review — lock-step playback across machines (drive / follow)
  • Studio collaboration — shared notes through the pipeline gateway
  • Seat administration for workspaces

Commercial terms are confirmed during the engagement. Subscription periods: 1 month (2-day grace period) · 6 months (10-day grace period) · 12 months (20-day grace period).

Licensing

Node-locked, verified offline.

A license key is bound to one machine's hardware identity and carries its tier, expiry, and grace period inside a signed payload. The player verifies the signature locally — review rooms without internet access stay fully licensed.

  1. Install Loupe, open Help → License… and copy the Machine ID.
  2. Generate a key on loupe.binaryhat.ai with that ID, a period, and a tier.
  3. Paste the key into the same dialog — features unlock immediately.

Machine replacement

Hardware dies. Subscriptions shouldn't.

If a licensed workstation is replaced or fails, the remaining subscription term transfers to the new machine using the existing key as proof of purchase — a self-serve step on the license page, limited to a reasonable number of transfers per subscription.

Without a valid license the player runs in browse-only mode: production status and notes stay readable, playback and the review toolset stay locked.
